:Hello All,
: I have another egg fryer power transformer, this time, in a Stromberg-Carlson 400H. I usually ask everyone's opinion before I make my final selection. There is a power transformer that has a B+ winding of: 280-0-280 at 60mA. I'm not sure that's enough but it cost the least. What's your opinion? Which Hammond Power transformer would you use in the Stromberg Carlson 400H?

:Looks like that set is merely using an 80 rectifier and four other 6V tubes. Also with it only using a single ended 6V6, that voltage should be sufficient and be
:less strain, particularly if it ends up getting a lots of use.

:The original transformer core mass seems to be somewhat in that order:

:Edd,
:The speaker in the Radio I have here has a speaker with a field coil. If that doesn't make any difference, then I'll go for the low priced transformer.
