Thanks for the comments. The missing tube is a five pin socket though. All others are 4 pin. Anyone have an idea what the model number is from the tag picture I posted? The chassis panels are all solid brass sheet .036 thick.
It is stamped 8827-No-6 I can't find anything on NA that resembles that number. Sure would like to find a schematic.

=============

Great looking set! Not sure of it general desirability due to it's large size - but with all the isolation, it should be a good performer when restored.

Bob: check Howard models 395, 445, 470, and 495 that use chassis 135AC. That chassis used four 26's, 27, 10 (same as CX310), and an 81 half wave rectifier. The 27 is a 5 pin tube. Nice find!

Steve, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! That scdhematic looks closer than any I have uncovered so far! The only difference is the tube lay out diagram showing 2 rows of tubes on the chassis and mine are all in one row except for the 210 which is offset. I think the circuit is a match for mine.

I looked through my Mallory manuals, and couldn't find any other chassis or model with the same tube line-up for Howard. I wonder if you might have a prototype that was never commercialized. Especially since there's no model or serial number engraved or stamped on the maker's plate. Just a thought. All that shielding must have cost a bundle. Anyway the schematics referenced above should work out for you. By the way, you have a great website! Keep collecting those boatanchors! Guys, check out: http://kg4nvx.tripod.com/
