The RF and antenna coils look good but the oscillator coil seems as though it spent some time under water. I'm positive this is not the original oscillator coil, it looks so different from the other coils mounted in the set. I'm starting to think the person I purchased it from probably tried to fix it, couldn't and decided to sell it.
I need help! Does anyone have an oscillator coil for this type of radio? I believe the Philco 116-121 and 37-116 used the same chassis, it is the high-end Philco with five bands. I know these sets are hard
to come by and anyone who has one knows it's worth restoring, but if you happen to have a junker please contact me.

PTOP is a good place to check for a coil:

:I recently purchased a Philco 116-121 from a person who said it didn't work. I finally got around to looking at it a little bit this weekend and found out why it doesn't work. The broadcast/sw/police
:oscillator coil looks to be a non original replacement, is very corroded, semi-crushed and has several breaks in the wires. The shield can was
:original and in good condition, but inside it had been replaced with a cobbled up mess.
