Hello, my name is Kelly. I own a 1998 Sony Triniton Television/VCR combo. I have not been able to locate the schematics to my unit. The problem that I am encountering is that I get extreme red raster and very rarely a normal color picture. This happens whether it is connected to cable or just watching a movie in the VCR without the cable box on. So, due to my experience as a technician, I believe this could be a demodulator problem, possibly a short or faulty one. If not, then process of elimination leaves me with the picture tube. Nonetheless, I am pretty well lost without the service manual/schematics because I need them in order to purchase the replacement parts. Hello Kelly, Try tapping and moving the connectors and circuit boards. It could be a poor connection or soldered joint. Is it all red or just losing either the red or the green? I don't have a schematic but you might get one from Sams Photofacts. Try their website at http://www.samswebsite.com/ to search for it. Your local library might be able to provide the Sams if you can identify it, otherwise you'll have to buy it from Sams.
