can any of you guys give me some info on a "general electric L220 valve radio cica 1940 ???"

this unit is 110 volts , in australia we use 220 volts.

Isn't that just our plain litle 'ole "Gentle" Electric 220 unit, as shown in the pics below ?? for a comparison to your unit.

If so, its tech data is also given on this site.
