I cannot find it my Radio Diagram Sourcebook, Radio
Set Socket Layout Guide (only goes to 1935) or my Antique Radios by Slusser...

Tube Lineup is 5Y3, 6L7, 6C5 6K7, 6K6, 6Q7, and tuning eye 6G5 (7 tubes)

At least these are the tubes in the sockets when I bought it today for $20.

I have not removed the chassis from the cabinet yet.

Set measures 10 X 20 X 35 inches

4 knobs

Dial Face is horizontal Oval shaped With tuning eye
tube centered on top of it.

Short Wave (yellow color band on dial face)
Middle Wave (Green band on dial face)
Broadcast (Blue color band on dial face)

3 Vertical Wood Bars over Rectangular Grille Cloth cutout.

Chassis seems to be bright Chrome under the dust etc. and on the back of chassis is stamped 6J364420

Any suggestions appreciated...I will continue to look.

Hi,
Got a match with model 62-500. Riders shows a 6J5 instead of a 6C5 for the oscillator but are considered substitutes. Richard

Thanks for looking but
I do not think that is it...this set does not have any phono connection circuitry that I can see...
The drawing of the topside of the chassis is totally
different configuration also... I do not know if the
schematic would be "close enough" since the tubes are
match... Guess I will keep looking. :O)

Model 62-269? Uses a 6F6 instead of 6K6.

That certainly looks like it! Thanks! Do you use
any certain kind of method other than just opening
one after another model like me? I looked at about
30 models with no luck. But I did not look that for it at that low of a number. I was cruising the schematics here at Nostalgiaair.
Or do you have a more informed/educated way of sleuthing it out? Anyway that really helps me out...

Bob,
Don't do anything that tedious.
Use the Mallory Radio Service Encyclopedia 6th edition. Originally intended for the radio repair folks to determine schematic and replacement parts. Old copies can be found at used bookstores on the web or ebay. Try looking for the 6th edition (1948), 5th (1942?).

Well. I like learning something new every day. This is
one of those days... I will look for one of those. I know it
has a place in my radio library. Thanks again!
