Emud T7 Unmarked capacitor

Hello All,
This one is attached to the tone control on the left when viewed from the front. Some of the other values are really difficult to read. These are near the two low voltage electrolytic capacitors (4 mf and 100 mf). There aren't any values on the filter capacitors either.

Thanks,

Dave

Upgrade that to tone control(s)........as the schematic shows that there is both a bass-amus and a treble-amus on that unit,
but looks like you lucked out, as both / either one of them are .02 ufd.

Edd,

Yes, .02 was the value of the capacitor.
How is EMUD pronounced anyway? (E-Mud, E-mood, em-uhd, em-mood)?

Thanks,

Dave

Edd,
How about ah-moody? There's a street in Utica, NY called "Auert Ave." The word is pronounced A-verty Ave. because that's how Mr. Auert pronounced his name. This Emud may have a long sound at the end too.

Thanks,

Dave

Gosh...I guess that you might go to a German radio site and seek out a person who is initially certain of its correct pronunciation....and equally being precisely conversant in English so that there would be no tainting of the translation with an accent. Or better yet, have a person who is primarily an English speaker...hear the proper pronunciation that was made and then convert the word phonetically to English words to segmentally reconstruct the word. That avoids all of the inane little pronunciation procedure that one encounters ...and never remembers !......in a dictionary's pronunciation markup.

For example:

If I was to explain the pronunciation of ...say...Domingo...(Spanish for Sunday) I would break it down into parts from 3 English words. Do from dough----ming, as from the ming tree or Ming dynasty----o, from open. And there you have a right on translation of the phonics, even though you were totally incapable of speak-a-da speak yourself. ( No, it was not the potentially non Spanish speaking... and possible country bumpkin... alliteration of : Domin as in domino---go as in gopher ! )

I'll just make an initial stab at Emud by guessing ; E from he and mud from the same English ...mud, but any of your others seem logical also. It could also possibly be a contraction of the beginning letters of 4 German words, with no specific pronunciation even being intended, with that final D being relevant to Deutsch or Deutschland
