Oops, pressed "send" too early...

I have a Philco radio circa 1941, and it is listed as "Model 41-220 Code 121". What does the "Code" portion signify?

Mark,
During production runs, Philco often made changes to the circuit so the changes in the schematic are referenced by "code #'s, so you can go to the correct schematic. The production runs sometimes lasted longer than one year and shortcomings in the radio were sometimes not found until the radio was in the hands of the consumer.
