The only RC550 I could find is from 1952. If it can be saved, it should be.
the rc550 is a turntable that sits atop this radio. the turntable seems in pretty good shape partswise, but the entire unit (radio and turntable) were torn from a larger console with a slideout drawer. the turntable is actually the top of the radio cabinet, they seem to be independent of one another- electrically, but the turn table power routes through a switch on the front of the radio.
to complicate things the radio has no transformer inside the chassis, but appears complete otherwise. i received the radio/turntable in this condition. the original console is not to be found.
i'd think it best to offer this for parts, repairing what i can. the wiring looks good, there are obviouse signs of were and abuse.

:::i have a basket case i think may work nicely in a new case. but before i dismantle it completely want i.d. the model #. admiral rc550 sat atop this 3 tube radio, and it is single band. only chassis # i have is r14, and a tag w/ # 3c1 - 44664.

I can only reference into that Admiral chassis number and in that case, if you can dig into the OLD MUSTY smelling Sams, they list that partricular Admiral ch# as being covered in their # 117-2.
You can get some idea my merely examining the chassis. I , myself, would probably expect the unit to be depending upon interconnection to the TV chassis to receive its filament and B+ requirements. Therefore, there would be no power transformer, rectifier or filters being on your radio chassis.
I see one addenda to the first posted info, and that would be the "Mixer / IFAmp / Det-AF amp " tubes, I was overgrading it tooooo much in the respect of a
frontal RF stage. If that chassis was GT octals the lineup might be 6SA7-6SK7-6SQ7 or 6BE6-6BA6-6AV6 if miniature tubes.

::thanks edd, do you possess the model # of the radio that i may obtain more info. and do you think someone else may make better use of these parts?
:thanks again

::The 3C1 is a valid Admiral radio chassis designator, and the logic for your piecemeal situation was probably being the fact of it being a salvaged out portion of an original combination 21 inch Tee Wee, "radio" and phono combination. It being stripped from the console, with the radio tube complement need being only minimal; thereby only the three RF/Mixer/Det-AF tubes, since it was to feed into the conventional audio and speaker system of the total combo unit.
