See if your 85 tube may have been replaced. Philco Model 45 matches your tubes except the 85 should be a 75. Tubes are interchangeable.

:Trying to i.d. a Philco chassis with the following tubes: 39/44 (2), 80, 6A7, 42 and 85. It has four knobs with some sort of shadow meter over the dial. The dial is the older type that rotates toward and away from the operator. No cabinet or spealer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
:Thanks,

Norm,
Thanks for the reply,I stayed up way too late last night and I do think the 75 tube was replaced with an 85 they both test almost the same but with a physical comparison there is no dought. With the old style shadow tuning I think this is a model 29 of which I find little information. This is going to be a detective job to complete. Thanks again for your help.
Jon.
