Need any info on Phillips 436-AN

Hello all.. just picked up a gorgeous Phillips Model 436-AN which is marked as "Made in USA". Upon closer inspection arriving home, i noted that the transformer is shot, wires burnt, and there are sockets in the top with a jumper wire and various voltage settings.. the socket is also burnt, along with the jumper wire. Don't know where to even begin on this set, can't find ANY schematics on the net, looks like I'm getting pretty good at finding basket cases to stuff in the closet! Damn shame though, the cabinet and dial on this thing is gorgeous, shortwave only though. Any help I can get would be appreciated!
Thanks, Don.

That unit certainly has the RCA type of tube lineup and might it possibly look like this ?

Should that be the unit...looks like others have run up against it also:

PLUS, the good news might be that this info below will tie you into this person that actually has one of the units to electro / mechanically compare and give you some info from if a schematic cannot be and has not already been zeroed in on by him. That is, if it was even of any consequence, with his unit possibly always being an operational unit.

Two forums that might tie you into contacting him:
