Operadio

A fellow up here in MN has found the black leatherette Operadio, the portable model. He wants to sell it and asked me to make an offer. What is a price range. Bunis shows $250-$280 for a great one. Thanks. I have the ARBE eliminator and know how to hook these old timers to the right voltages.

Slusser 6th ed. gives an approximate value of $240 - $300. but book values are only a vague guidline. I know nothing of the radio itself other than what I've read in the value guides.

So many variables need to be taken into account as far as condition (primarily of the leatherette).....the chassis etc. can always be restored using the usual methodology but the cosmetic items need to be really scrutinized.

That radio was produced in 1925 and IS a portable....so unless it was stashed away unused for 3/4 of a century the condition might warrant much lower value I would think.

I tend to think that most prices have come down since Slusser's 6th ed.
