Be sure caps values are the same as original. Smaller caps will reduce low frequency response of a radio. Increase the value of cap between 1st audio amp and output audio tube.

:Hello - I have recently recapped an Arvin 152T (a 1948 All-American Five). Also relocated the switch to the hot leg and installed a polarized plug. The radio works fairly well, but has a very tinny sound. I would appreciate any suggestions.

You may want to check the speaker and make sure the speaker cone moves freely in and out without rubbing or binding.
