New Finds

All,
While it has been a while since I've posted here last; I am happy to report that the Stewart Warner you all helped me restore is being happily used almost every day - Thanks Again !
Onward...Last week I found an old Philco 610 in good shape, so I picked it up. This week a friend of mine said 'Here, you know what to do with this', as he handed me a RCA Radiola 18. I was put aback by the sheer heft of that thing ! It has a couple of the old CX globe tubes in it, the rest are all engraved base ST types - but they all test good.
The Philco needs new tubes almost all the way around (The only tube that tested good was the 80 rectifier), and I haven't even begun to dig into the RCA. In looking at the schematic there really doesn't seem to be that much there anyway.....However my friend did not have the speaker to it. I am sure I will need some sort of field coil speaker, along with an output transformer of some sort ? Or is this in the enclosure ? Sorry, again I haven't even taken the back cover off of it yet....

Thanks !

Steve,
The Radiola requires any high impedance (around 1000 ohms)PM speaker such as a Radiola 100 or AK "E" series. No output transformer needed unless you intend to use an 8 or so ohm speaker.
