RCA has two "50" radios. An 8 tube R-50 and a 6 tube VR-50. The VR-50 has 6SA7, 6SK7, 6SQ7, 6F6, 6U5 & 5Y4G tube line up. If this is your radio several pages are available from the RCA Service Manual.

Definitely only 5 tubes. From going through the schematics on this site, it appears to be similar to some of the 5Q series. 3 Bands, and a phono input, volume control, tone control. It's a table-top kind of thing.
I will check the VR-50 because some of the radios had the option for a tuning indicator which added one more tube..
