Hi
The radio was made in 1938. Philco started using the year as the first two numbers in their model in 1937. The 38-9 will be in Rider but I am not sure which volume. Philco may have used the "C" to indicate console as they also had the same chassis in a table model. Many libraries can order these books. Nostalgiaair does have schematics but yours was not shown. There are companies specializing in selling antique radio parts. You may want to check antiqueradios.com/resources

Hi Norm, thankyou for your help,I will follow your direction, and source the libraries first. This is my first attempt at restoring an old radio,a hobbie I've wanted to pursue for a long time. This radio is completely intact, and underneath the layers of paint and varnish, the veneers are in mint condition,so with any luck at all,and the correct information i should be able to restore this old girl close to original. Thanks again for your help Norm,i'm sure I'll be seeking council here many times before this project is finished.
