perking up old wooden cabinets

Besides hand cleaner as previously mentioned, are there other products that can be used to perk up a dull, dirty old wooden cabinet? Would lemon oil be good once it is cleaned? (I'm trying to get away from stripping everything I acquire.)

Hi, Brian. I've used Kramer's antique improver, but there are other, cheaper concoctions. The all claim to have a secret formula, often passed down over generations? But I suspect turpentine and linseed oil may be in there?
