Is there a Scott 600B?
7/16/2000 10:13:10 PMDana
Hi,

I was told that Scott made a 600B chassis but I can't find anything about it. It does not seem to be in Riders. Can anyone tell me if it exists and if so give me some details on it please? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if they made it, More than likely it was produced after Rider's ceased their publications. Your best bet to find out if it does exist; and you will need to discern if it is E.H. Scott, or H.H. Scott) If there is something available, your best bet is a Photofact.

If nothing else, they may have something archived.

If it was H.H. Scott, you may want to send a query to Emerson electric, as they own the name, and likely any archives of information.

I am inclined to believe that it is H.H. Scott that you seek, and a 600B would place that in the early sixties.

Hi Dana, I think your Scott probably is an EH Scott, there's a model 800B so I'd assume the 600B is an earlier version. I think you mentioned it's in a Chippendale cabinet and that also makes me think it's an earlier Scott. There are a number of sets listed under model names rather than numbers, perhaps your set is listed like this. If you can list the number and type of tubes and other features, bands, whether it's got a phono, etc. it will help matching it. Cheers, Don Black.
