But, more to the point: I have a Heath TC-2. Works fine, but here are some tips:
1. The schematic shows the copper oxide diode installed backwards, at least by today's convention for showing diodes.
2. With modern line voltages, >120V, you may be unable to null the meter. If so, disconnect the black wire going from Terminal 3 of the 100-ohm, 25-W potentiometer to the tap on the transformer primary.
3. The plastic meter dial can take on a static electric charge that cause the meter to do strange things.
