Then it looks like the 120vAC input line goes directly across the lamp.
I aagree with Peter, it is a 120 Volt bulb. There is a switchboard panel light that looks like something for a car, but it is 120 Volts. It it a bayonet base, with two contacts on the bottom. I think it is Watts. If I can find one in my basement, I will be happy to give you the number, or the bulb if it is rare and/or expensive. I used to have one at home that "followed me home from work". I'll look for it after supper.

Couldn't find it in the bulbs collection. The above shuld read 7 1/2 Watts. Try an electrical parts supplier, one that might supply parts for switchboards and the like instead of radio parts. I'll try to find a number at Granger or something like that. If I'm lucky I'll let you know,

Try a 6S6DC, available at Grainger's. Couldn't find a price, but lookl like a couple of bucks will do it. 120 Volt, 6 Watts, double contact bayonet base. It is the smallest DC bayonet base I know of. Good Luck!!

From the schematic it looks like the dial lamp is across the AC line after the switch making the lamp 110-117 volt one. Remember the 12 volt tubes are actually rated at 12.6 volts thus adding up the filament voltages would be 117 volts.

:Hello again all.. just a quick question, feel really stupid asking this. Recently acquired a Zenith 7H920. I just finished recapping this, the 4 cap can was a real bear. The only thing I need now is a bulb for the dial, no old one in place to match it up with. The socket is for a double contact bayonet bulb, much like the old ones used in cars. Trying to figure out the voltage and wattage for a bulb, the schmatics give no specs for this, only the zenith part # for the bulb. Adding up the tubes I come up with 114V. 12BA6, 12AT7, 12BA6, 12BA6, 12AU6, 19T8, 35B5. Subtract from 120 and i need a 6V bulb? Looked everywhere online and cant find anything that will work. Am I figuring this correct, or just totally off base? Any help would be appreciated, THANKS!
