Hi friends.
I have an EICO 625 model tube tester and I am plaining to restore it.
It haves some troubles. I have good Electronic experience, I do have the schematics for it and I would like to know is there are some friend who knows the most commom matters about tube testers to help me.

Very little to go wrong in this tube tester. Is the power transformer good? Are switch contacts clean? Lose pins in tube sockets?

Tube testers usually have a capacitor in the leakage test circuit. It should be replaced.

VERY VERY THANKS FOR Helping me!!!
My Eico 625 was buyed on Ebay due here in Brazil, is too much hard to get ones. I buyed it "as is" but as I can see it will be in working condition soon. The most of troubles it has, was already fixed by me. I´ll replace the capacitor as you hint me!
The transformer looks to be ok, the switches apears to be not so good.
All the (up/center/down) switches knobs are missing. Do you know a way to get new ones please?
The roll chart was removed from my unit and in its place was placed an Eico 610 model adapter to it became able to test more tubes types. I do have the tube test data book.
I need to restore my 625 to test tubes to service Tube Amps Guitars.

Hi pcrock, I have a 625 that I bought on e-bay it was recently calibrated and clean and neat with up-dated tube booklet. I typed the tube booklet info on to a word program with the proper spacing for the roll chart and had Kinkos print on a roll for me. With the original roll assembly in the unit I removed the rollers and the core was a 1/2 " dowel. Replaced the 1/2' dowel with a 1/4" dowel because new chart longer than old and its working fine with expanded chart. Had to move 2 back light bulbs back away from chart to avoid fire hazard but otherwise no problems.Let me know if you want copy of new roll chart. Its on 18# bond paper and about 15' long. PL
