Lil7 transmitter

The schematic of the Lil7 transmitter on the Phil's Old Radios site shows the wires going to pins 2&7 without passing thru the isolation transformer. Why wouldn't they be connected to the 120 output of the transformer?

I wondered about that, too. I can only guess that since the main 120 Volts only goes to the filament, the designer thought it was safe to connect the filament directly and use a smaller power transformer. I would rather pay a couple of bucks more for a bigger transformer, and have *everything* isolated from the AC line.

Concur with Lewis. Only 0.015A on the 125VAC winding. Below is specs from the AES site.
