Help determining model
3/12/2007 9:07:50 AMJeff
I am searching for a schematic for a console stereo. It is a GE and the model number on the back is rc-1710. I can't seem to find anything, any ideas?

It's covered in Sams photofact 620-9.

http://www.vintage-electronics.com sells them.

Thanks! I didn't notice an A or R on the model, but I believe for what need either will do.

Don't know whether your unit is a small cabinet model or a vewy Large table model, with a swing down turntable. Gonna be working on some PCB's probably on that unit and cleaning dirty controls.
As per the R-uh suffix, should you happen to have that version, it is their top o' the line model, all resplendently complete with the sound enhancing subdued reverb feature.
Also, your series of unit might have used different numbers on the AF output tubes.
Here is the primary info on the power supply and AF section, with tuner/stee-roo demultiplexamifier , being a separate referencing.

Thank you very much!

It is the model with the spring reverb unit.

Weeeeeeeel then , I see, and then that would also mean that it is the one with the recessed "Well light" for the phono as well as its own build in vacuum cleaner for the stylus and record surface,
as well as its using a real EEEEEEWWW MERCURY
switch.

Any problems, seen or unforseen on the unit or are you just trying to get its tech documentation, whilst tech doc is still available ???

Unit is great shape and working order. The sound is very warm.

There are two male jacks hanging out the back of the unit. I wanted to look at a schematic to determine their purpose.
