What is Larson's locator and where can I find it??
6/28/2000 8:07:51 AMWyn Laidig
Someone told me that I could use Larson's locator to track down my unidentified radio. What is this? Can I find it on the net somewhere??

The tubes layout is:
FRONT TOP
Coils Tuning-Cap Trans
Coil 6A7 Cap 80
6D6 Coil 6H6 6F5 42
REAR TOP

The wood tombstone cabinet is stamped number 726P. I have the radio serial number which is 695701. Also I have a "patent decal, which shows all the patents licensed by RCA on the one side, and all the patents licenses by Hazeltine on the other side. But I don't know the manufacturer.

Larsen's "The Locator" is an index designed to quickly locate schematics for sets listed in Rider's books. It has been very useful for me.
You can order the book with the author:
Mr. G. Larsen
7841 W. Elmgrove Drive
Elmwood Park, IL 60707

I checked the book for your tube line-up and found the following matching brands:
Continental (7-13)
Howard (8-15)
Radio Products (8-4)
Sears (Silvertone) (10-95)
Sentinel (8-16)
Spiegel (11-9)
The figures between brackets refer to Rider's Volume number resp. the pages of the particular brand.
