Replace ALL paper caps, a shotrted paper cap in the audio section will cause distortion

:ok checked all caps only ones left are the one for tone control....and the one on the volume pot and the one on the pot has no shorts....voltage on pin 3 of the 6f6 to chassis ground is 226 volts and pin 4 of the 6f5 is 75 volts.....

:guess theres not much else to check other than resistors.....and make sure the caps I replaced are good ones..........a few might be new old stock I was sold.....not sure

That should be your radio, check voltage on pin 3 of the 6F6, and pin 4 of the 6F5. What 2 caps haven't you replaced? If c-22 or c-26 are not replced, as well as any other paper caps and electrolytics, they will short and become a resistor and short power to ground, pulling down your B+ voltage. Try this first.

Try hooking a temporary speaker to the the set. The old cones get britle and the voice coil can often go out of alingment.

You have to replace "ALL" the paper caps
