Michigan Antique Radio Swap meet
1/14/2007 9:52:04 AMErnie Nagy
The Michigan Antique Radio Club is sponsoring a swap meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Costick Activity Center in Farmington, Michigan
on Saturday, February 3.

This is the "Road Show" for collectible radios where MARC members offer free appraisals as well as sources for the repair and restoration of vintage radios.

The public is invited and membership information will be available.

General admission at 9 a.m. is $5 while "Early Birds" can come in at 8 for $10.
(The admission charge helps us defray the rental and insurance that is required for the use of the facility.)

Last year members filled nearly 90 tables with collector-quality radios plus a bunch of "stuff" such as tubes, transformers, tubes and capacitors.

You can contact me, Ernie Nagy, if you need additional information... elnagy1599@webtv.net or go to our club's web site: www.michiganantiqueradio.org

Hi Ernie; Thanks for letting us know about this swap meet. I planned on taking my wife to a flower show in Cleveland that weekend but she says it's ok to stop over in Farmingham Friday night and go to the swap meet first thing Saturday morning. Then we will drive on to Cleveland saturday afternoon and go to the flower show Sunday. We're driving in from Ontario so this will work out perfectly!! I joked with her about the fact that customs won't allow her to bring back any flowers from the show because they may have live bugs on them but I can bring back all the radios that will fit in the car even though there may be all kinds of bugs and other critters hiding inside the radios. Ha, Ha

Just a quick note to tell everyone what a great swap meet in Michigan!!!!! I bought 5 radios to keep me busy over rest of winter (my wife informed me that I already have 8 more already waiting for restoration) but the prices sure were right. Best buy was a NOS 6U5, super bright for $10 After the swap meet we drove to The Cleveland garden show in a blinding snowstorm down Interstate 80/90.
