I found a few "different" caps in a Scott Model 510 tuner section. They are;
MALLORY .05MFD 600V are Lt Blue in color, PVC, +/- 10%
SPRAGUE .005/.05/.1MFD, 600V, Red-Orange in color, shiney like PVC, +/- 10%
They look to be original to the unit. Are these a special type of cap? Should they be replaced with the paper and electolytic caps?
Any help would be appreciated.

With those values they are more than likely bypass capacitors, so mylar capacitors would work as replacements.

I don`t know if they are hard to get but if you can find them YES they will need to be replaced almost all tube radios will needthe caps replaced. A good website to try to get them at is www.justradios.com.
