Hundreds of technical books on-line
12/26/2006 4:46:28 PMZ-
Hi All,

Here are two links for hundreds of technical books:

http://www.oldradioz.com/technical_1
http://www.oldradioz.com/technical_2

Many are books have been collected in the past two years. I believe it is easier to get books from one source than scattered everywhere. The reason to become a mirror for those. They add to the one already available on the website.

If you are the original owner, please let me know so credits are added as well as links to the websites. If that causes a problem, please let me know also.

Thanks to Rune for making a huge 900 mb file available and thanks to Erik for taking the time to download each and every file from this large one to the technical_2 section to help those with limited bandwidth.

Some of these are available in PDF and others in DJVU. If you do not already have the DJVU plug-in, you'll find it in the technical section/schematics on the same website.

That guy is such a doink that he'll probably be watching his site stats for the next month feeling important every time someone downloads a file.

I have to admit that the files make for nice reading, but you're probably right.

Too bad ya just can't say thank you. Instead you assume pride and self worth are tied up in internet hits. How about trying to assume that somebody is being helpfull. Some others feel threatened when they disagree on technical concepts. They diss the other person instead of opening up their mind to other viewpoints. They also use the age old practice of shunning, name calling or other methods. Ya know Maturity is often seen when two people disagree and are still able to comunicate. I will stay anon cause I just can't deal with the rejection.

I second that viewpoint.!!

I am here to learn and to share. I too feel that there is no place here for personal attacks or contentious behaviour.

We are all guests here and should remember to be kind to others even if you think they might be wrong.

I enjoy every day's experience here sharing ideas and helpful hints with a great group. I wouldn't want to see any of you drift away or be driven away for fear of being challenged or become discouraged when you offer up your helpful ideas and get blasted.

I know for certain that the help I try to offer is not always the only perfect answer... far from it.. but I don't want to be afraid to say anything either. I'm open to as much constructive help as I can suck up...lol

So far it's been great. Let's all work toward encouraging others when possible.

Syl,
Impressive site, and only second to the collection of information you offer to all of us free of charge. Although having only accessed your phono cartridge rebuild article(s),which I found extremely helpful, sure to be back often in the future. My personal thanks.
