model number help?

I have a Philco "Powertone" with big gold tuning knob in middle of grill. It has dual 5" spkrs, Phono jack on back, printed circuit board, smallish tubes, wood veneer cabinet. Anyone know the model# on such a critter? I could send you a photo. Miles, Chantilly, VA

Hi Miles,
I recommend that you search eBay under tube radios, 1930-1949 and 1950-1960, and search for Philco. You will likely see a radio similar to yours. Usually the model number is mentioned in the posting.
You may get an idea of what it is worth, too. That is often a dissappointment.
I think your radio is 1950's from the description, but the 1930-1949 gets most of the listings, and has many 1950's radios.

Best Regards,

Bill Grimm
