I am trying to locate a copy of the corporate logo from the Wilcox-Gay Corp. Is there someone out there who might be able to scan one for me off a manual or some documentation you have with your recordio?

Hi Keith,
I have some old W-G recordio disks in thier original
pouch. I could scan the pouch and send it to you
if your interested. You might be able to crop the logo
from the scan.

I just got a Recordio from a local antique shop and am
desperately looking for any info on this unit. This one
is a console version with a record player on the left
and radio on the right. The record player has 2 tone
arms. Nowhere on the entire console can I find a model
number or date. Hopefully I'll have some pics up on my
home page tommorrow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello jpask and Keith:
I have a Wilcox-Gay Recordette with blank disks and manual. I will do some checking on a logo/information and see if I can figure out how to scan something for you. I'm wondering what you paid for your unit and what mine might be worth. Anybody know?

Hi Nancy, I paid 20 bucks for mine at an antique shop. It's the console version (very Large), the platter and tone armes are very rough, the radio looks to be in good shape. I plugged it in, and the tubes all lit (including the tuning eye) and the platter turned, but I got no sound. someone once told me that anything with a record player in it is not worth very much. check Ebay once in awhile and see what they are going for. I hope to have pics of mine on my homepage very soon!

Hi - I recently purchased a Recordio (the kind that has reel-to-reel recording capabilities and also has the ability to cut records.) Is anyone willing to sell me some blank recordio discs? Does anyone know the actual feasability of making records with such an old device? Thanks.

I recently came across what appears to be five completely unused Wilcox-Gay Recordio discs. Send me an email at sararoot@attbi.com if you're interested.

Hi Michele:

I have 4 Wilcox Gay blank Recordio discs for sale. I will sell them for $20 US (for all 4). They come in a cardboard case which originally held 6 discs, but two are missing.

Let me know if you're interested.

Heather

I recently found a W-G Recordio in my relatives closet. What would something like this be worth? It is in pristine condition although I did not try to turn it on yet so I do not know if it actaully works. Thanks in adavance!

Nancy,
Recently I required what I believe is a similar unit to what you have. Have been able to find out any further information regarding it. I am having difficulties trying to find any information regarding it.

Hi Everyone,
I too have a Wilcox Gay Recordio and am looking for some disc to go with it. Mine sounds just like the one mentioned above, with the record player/recorder on the left and a radio on the right. mine has an old mic as well. it works but has a lot of static so i'm wanting to have it re-wired.
Does anyone know the value of these?
mine also has storage on the bottom for records etc. the turn table also pulls out when you open the lid.
If anyone can give me any info, please e-mail me at apnew58@hotmail.com. thanx

I have just purchased a wilcox gay recordio in a carrying case much like a suitcase. It has a couple of discs with it and a microphone. I'd be interested in an age and any value information as I purchased it to sell.

Thank you
