Well I'm not a guy who follows Philco.
but ... maybe some of you are closer to which models are hottest.
It is 20 inches long and a foot high and a foot deep. It is the sloped-back front style.
This wooden cabinet is ABSOLUTELY LIKE NEW. I have never seen a radio this age look so new. I mean no age at all. !!! STUNNINGLY CLEAN.
It must have been in that lady's living room or wrapped in an air-tight bag all these years.. no dirt not even dust. No finger marks nothing... perfect.
Just imagine "perfect"... It plays well no hum or anything ( the tone pot is just a bit scratchy..thats all) .... I didn't open back yet though.
And I'm sure the filter caps etc ought to be redone.
So my question is:
Is this a super-desireable model?... and y'think I should steer it to a Philco-nut first before I just open it up to the world on ebay?
I wish I had some friends like that!
I looked it up in "The Complete Price Guide to Antique Radios". It is listed with a value of $90.00
Like everything, it could be worth much more to a collector who realy want's it, especially given its emaculate original condition.

:A friend just dropped by to show me and leave here.. a Philco-40-150 that a customer just gave him to keep.
:He has no clue what it's worth and asked if I'd find out or just Ebay it for him.

Seven tubes, interesting set. Best to put it on eBay with good pix and write up. Might get $125-150?

I'll send you a pict as son as i take it.. maybe real soon.
I don't have a "bottom" price and my friend probably just want's whatever he can get for it that seems reasonable... so after I send you a picture you can decide what it's worth to you and I'll tell him.
