Could anyone out there in radio land
tell me how to find the schematic for
the above radio on "Nostalgia Air".
I can't find the model # on the set.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Don,
The model number of the 56 T-Bird radio is stamped in the metal near the antenna receptacle (Motorola # 69MS, followed by the serial number), Ford number is: FEF-18805-B. This radio is too new for "Nostalgia Air". It can be found in the Sams Publications Set 328-folder 4, or in their Auto Radio series AR-6. It may be available online in the "Beitman" books.

The 56 passenger car radio 69MF is virtually identical electrically.

I would be glad to copy the more complete Motorola factory manual for the radio and send it to you by mail. Email me with your mailing address if you want it (click on the "MAG" above the reply)

Meade.

I had the '57 but never had radio problems so I never researched its schema. Looked at the '56 just now.
Surprisingly the '56 still used the common 12BA6-12BE6
-12AU6-(2)12AV6-(2)-12AB5-12X4 + vibrator design power supply and a 12AU7 for the trigger amp for the auto tuning relay/solenoid mech.

Staaaaand waaay back....brace your self ..shooting
1/2 meg of its pertinent service data at you..a la E-mail.

73's de Edd
