Also, this set has what looks to be a thoroughly COOKED ceramic capacitor wired across the power cord contacts at the interlock (inside the chassis). I don't know its value or purpose, or if this is a symptom of something else wrong with the set. I'd hate to replace it only to have it fry again. The set does pick up stations fairly well, but with some distortion.
This is my first FM set, so I'd doubly appreciate any input on this.
Thanks in advance,
Larry Rickard
The Zenith H725 is in Rider Vol #22. This volume is not yet on nostalgiaair but I'll send you the schematic.
The blown cap is a dual .01 mfd. One wire to each side of the line with the common leads to chassis. When these caps become leaky they will cook but this is not a sign of other problem.

: I need the schematics for a Zenith model H725 AM/FM set. I looked in the Riders Online section, but they aren't there. Was this model too late for Riders?

Thanks for the info and the schematics. I have another model AM/FM Zenith with this same cap problem.
