Thanks,

Steve,
If you can fully remove the cloth from the cabinet, I have had very good luck with soaking it in a mild solution of carpet cleaner. Try not to scrub the cloth as it sometimes gets very fragile with age. Repeated soaking with gentle agitation and rinsing gives good results to remove all those years of dust cigarette smoke etc.
Lay it out flat and gently pat dry . I also use an iron on a low temp through a towel to further dry and remove wrinkles.
Good luck.
Jon.
Sounds good. Thank you. -Steve
Steven,
How about Woolite? It is supposed to clean/wash delicate items of cloth.

I took the cloth to the dry cleaners and they said they did not feel it could be cleaned that way without damage. I am not willing to chance it on their recommendation. I will try something at home.

I usually clean grillcloths with washing up liquid. Brush on gently with a soft paint brush. Rinse off the bubbles under a running tap. Keep thew cloth on the mounting frame though. Leave to dry naturally.
