Hello all, Are all air var caps isolated from the chassis, this model 73 air cap is grounded to chassis with 3 mounting screws, no rubber, I can't figure anyone not putting rubber back in, I have a grounding problem and traced it back to the air cap. After removing the air cap I no longer have contiuity between the plus and neg wires. The stator and rotor are now isolated, do you think I should isolate? Thanks George

Hi George

One side of each cap is connected to chassis. You will have continuity across each tuner since there is a coil across them.

You will have some continuity between B+ and chassis through resistor dividers and maybe leaky bypass caps?
