Schematic needed
10/25/2006 11:15:47 AMLawrence
I need a schematic for a Rogers radio its model or type R451. It is a bee hive type of radio and it was made in the early 30's.
If anyone can help to direct me where I can get a schematic, it would be greatly appreciated. I can provide a picture. This may help identify the radio.
It’s a beautiful radio, but the transformer over heats and it would be dangerous to play for a long time. I need a new transformer, but if I get a schematic I will know what voltages I need.
Please help!

I believe someone from Canada will help with the schematic. It's a Canadian radio?

You may not need a transformer, after the filters and caps are replaced it may run cool.

The cap have been replaced. I talked to the person that had it before me and he said something about a short in the center tap. He was going to replace the radio but, sole it to Mario. Mario sold it to me.
Mario didn't tell me about the over heating prob.

Lawrence,

Have you tried pulling the rectifier tube and turning the radio on and see if the transformer gets hot?

Do you have a schematic, yet? If not try www.justradios.com. Dave carries most Canadian radios.
