RCA 100A Paint Color

I am restoring a nice RCA 100A speaker. I have everthing now, including the grille cloth, the fabric speaker wire, etc. I just need to find the right color paint for the pot metal case. I think that it is dark bronze. Any idea of a supplier that can match it up to the original - as close as possible, of course? Thanks!

Hi Dennis

Use what Lou sends but not all RCA 100A's were exactly the same color. Different shades of brown/bronze.

Pot metal may cause bubbles when you paint the speaker? They can show up in a few minutes or even a week later. So far I've haven't found a way to seal the pot metal.

When painting the decoration use a pencil eraser. Dip it in gold paint and dab the eraser on the decoration.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a nice color picture already; and I will go to a specialized paint store to try to find a good match.
