Any experience with this transformer rewinder

I have a Radiola model 60 that needs a power transformer. I found on the web, G (Gary) K. Brown who has quoted me a price from start to finish $115.00 which includes removing it from the "tar" can, complete re-winding, and install it back into the can. Can I get some feedback concerning the price, and if anyone has ever used his services.

Thank you for your assistance

Hi Jim

Might be a reasonable price for all the work but I would check here first:

http://www.oldradioparts.com/2a23efl.txt

If you don't find what you need send Gary an email. It will be less expensive to find a replacement.

Thank you for the info. I had contacted oldradioparts.com several days ago, and thet did not have anything at this time. What my big question is does anyone know of this person ( G. K. Brown ) ? I like to trust people for their word, but I would hate to send this guy my transformer and the money, only to see neither again. I found this guy by using google seach, and he sells used transformers, as well as re-winds them. If you have a chance, check out his web page. gkbrown@gwi.net Let me know what you think.

Thank you

Jim

He's a ham that should make you comfy right there.
.. check out his call sign.. what's not to trust?

If he was in in the jungles of Brazil and didn't have such a respecrible content website... then... well
but still if he were a ham.. no problem-o for me

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. Sounds like he will be re-winding a transformer for me shortly. You all told me all I need to know.
