fluorescent light noise

My shop has fluorescent lights which creat lots of noise in AM radios. what can I do to cut down on this noise? Thanks Bud

Bud, do your lamps have mechanical or electronic ballasts? Some electronic ballasts put out bad RFI.

The cheapo fluoresecent fixtures you buy at home improvement centers usually have mechanical ballasts.

By the way, in my basement, I have seven fluorescent fixtures, each with two tubes. All have mechanical ballasts, and there is no RFI.
