Mac,

You may want to check out:

http://www.agtannenbaum.com/

They have a listing for the Jackson 636 both instruction manual and data manual. I have done business with them in the past and the manuals they produce are very good. Perhaps there may be someone else on here who may have a manual they can scan and email you. I had a 636 given to me several years ago and I haven't had a need to have a manual for it so far.

Thank you Rdoc.

Checked it out, found what you indicated and placed an order.

You likely have forgotten more than I know about old radios and electricity. I picked up the Jackson 636 off ebay, don't have it in here yet. I just wanted to make sure that when I test a tube that the reading is because I did the process correctly and not from me punching the wrong button or turning the wrong knob.

Mac,

I think you will be quite satisfied with the manual(s) from AG Tannenbaum. The last manual I ordered was for a Webster-Chicago wire recorder. I don't think the manual could have been any better if it had come from the recorder manufacturer. There is a vacuum tube in the 636 which is accesible from the bottom. You may want to make sure it is not missing or broken.
