Just downloaded a copy of Riders for this set and the parts list is mostly unreadable as is a lot of the smaller print on the schematic. I've tried enlarging with Adobe Photo and other apps, but it all comes out blurred even worse. Any suggestions?

Marv, Just looked at my copy from the CD and for the most part, it can be made out. Speaker field impedence is a little fuzzy, etc. Got some specific problem areas? Lemme know and I'll see what I can do.

Rick,
Thanks. Its on the back burner, but getting all my ducks in line before I open it up. I'll probably start next week by doing a detailed visual for anything obvious. I'm restoring it for a friend, but don't have anything on it's history. The one thing I noticed was a tapped volume control, and looked at the parts list to assure it wasn't a graphite pot, but it's description was very limited.

Seems to come out clearly here. I can type up the parts list if you wish. By the way, I have the chassis from a V-170, which is similar to the 16T2. It uses the same antenna. Would you be able to give dimensions and turn counts? I have to make one from scratch because mine is missing. Working on a radio project kit.

Thomas,
Yes I'll remove the antenna panel and get a good close up from its backside, and also count the turns as well. It appears to be unique in it's design. The std loop is obvious, but another round coil (approx 3 inches dia)of many turns is also attached, and may be for the SW bands only. I'll send the .jpgs to your email. A clear typed parts list would be very helpful, and thank you for the effort.

I printed it out as a reminder. I'm going to sleep now. I will type it up to-morrow.

Ok. I stop here for now. I'll continue with the speaker information later. I am cross-eyed. Just wondering...what do you need the parts list for? The values are printed in the schematic. At any rate, here's the first part. I will type more to-morrow.

Thomas,
I can't read the parts list from the NA download, and thats why I need a legible copy. You could have put it in MS word, then attached to a msg to my personal email.

Thomas,
Just type as many lines as you want, save, and repeat 'til its done. Thanks for the effort too. I've already found errors in the set now that I have legible copy.

It's very comforting Thomas to have you around this forum!

Depends on what mood I'm in. Don't know if I'm always an asset.

Sometimes I think I have the hormones of a woman, or at least the swings.

I'm just starting to unbutton this old beauty and found a unique (at least for me) voice coil/output transformer/inductor arrangement. The extra inductor appears to be wound within the field coil/pole piece housing. Anyone with unique experiences/failures with this set, please feel free to off load on me before I get buried deeply in "what ifs", "can't believes" and "how'd that happen"

Marv, You're not looking at a "hum bucking coil" are you? Looks like it's shown as a separate inductor on the schematic.

Rick,
Now I see, being wound onto the field coil/pole piece could indeed be a hum bucking coil, although a first for me. Although older in years, I've only been at this antique radio stuff for a couple years.
