RCA 9X571 Electrolytic Question

Hi. I'm working on re-capping my first radio and have gotten to the electrolytics on this model. The old ones were housed in a metal can (covered by cardboard) on top of the chassis with terminals on the bottom. I have the schematic and have traced out what the three caps in the can are connected to (caps are 2 - 120 mfd and 1 - 40 mfd.) What I'm left with is one cap that needs to be connected to five wires and one that needs to be connected to four (the small one is one-to-one.) I think I'm going to need to install some type of terminal strips (not sure how)--any other suggestions?

Also, the schematic points out that the electrolytics are grounded by "common wiring insulated from chassis." What are suggestions as to the best way to accomplish this with my three new capacitors?

Thanks very much,
Tim

Hi Tim

Here is a guy offering terminal strips. He just listed them today but could be sold out?

You can mount a terminal strip(s) on the chassis using an existing screw or by drilling a hole. The terminal strip could also be soldered to something in your radio.

The common negative of your caps does not connect to chassis. Tie all three negatives together to a terminal strip. Then connect the terminal to where it goes in your radio.
