Old Philco Refrigerator A 750
7/13/2006 3:19:15 PMCookie Prentice
We have this old Philco fridge, A 750. We know nothing about it and are interested in finding some info on it, i.e. how old it is. It still works but needs a new door gasket. We'd like to let someone know it is alive and doing well. I do know it is from the late 30's or early 40's.

Unless you can receive radio signals with it somehow, I don't think it is a radio.

Since this is an antique "radio" forum I'm just a wee bit puzzled how refrigerators are becoming a topic here.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against refigerators... in fact some of my best friends are refrigerators... but still...y'know?

Must be the name Philco that gets this forum? I've seen both Philco and Crosley refrigerators asked about here.

I still use a couple of old refrigerators (1922 Frigidaire in a cottage in VA, and a double door GE Monitor top in the big house). I have a Crosley refrigerator that would be eligible for a listing on this board, as it has a RADIO receiver installed in the door, but it is not working, as a previous owner chopped out the compressor and motor so that he could use it as an air compressor.
