Admiral Model 55-A7 Wooden AM/SW Radio
7/6/2006 11:38:35 AMChris Barone
Hello everyone, I am looking for information, photos, schematics, etc. for an admiral model 55-A7 radio I picked up, (in deplorable condition), from a yard sale. It is a 7 tube model in a wooden case. Looks to be from the very early 40's or very early 50's. I can provide photo of this radio if requested.

Thanks,
Chris

Hmmm. That model is listed in Slusser's guide, 6th edition, as a 1940 model. But no schematic seems to be in Rider's. Maybe somebody here can point you to a schematic.

: Thanks Doug. That's the problem I have been having where there are no schematics listed.

Hi Chris

Listing tube types may help us locate a schematic?

Chris, this is listed as Continental Model A7. Could be? Tubes list and some other markings would help to identify...maybe.

Bill, this is the animal! Thank you very much. The tubes were missing from the chassis, so I was unable to reply earlier. This will be my next project. Thanks again to all that replied. Chris, Marietta, GA
