Thats one H@#^&*%L of a large power tube!!! 250 Watt plate dissapation!!!! AND 630 watts in clas A PP. Holy crap, what is this thing used in????
It sure did help by giving all I wanted to know and more. However, I still don't know how to test them. I checked continuity on the heaters and they are not open. That's all the test I have been able to do. I bought these tubes with a big batch of tubes and haven't figured out what to do with them. I can't sell them unless I can tell a potential buyer if they are any good and I won't junk them except as a last resort. Anyway, thanks for you help. Dick
These are forced air cooled transmitting tubes. You can check filament and emission from cathode to grid #1. This will sort out tubes with bad metal to glass seals. You need high voltage and current to properly test the tubes. More than a tube tester can supply.
Has the metal darkened? Realize this isn't a test but tubes with oxidized metal may have been in operation a long time.

::::I have seven 4X150A/7034 tubes that appear to be used and I want to test them to see if they are good or not. My Sencore MU150 and my TV-7 do not list this tube in the charts and my substitution book doesn't help. This is a tetrode power amplifier and that's all I know. Can anyone tell me how I can test them?
