HELP... I'm new at this!

I would really appreciate any help on finding information about the Arvin company, because I have just started collecting old radios/phonographs. I currently have an Arvin phonograph model 77P18 and an Arvin radio that has no tag or model number on it. I have a lead on an old Philco phonograph and radio cabinet that I hope to buy this weekend. I am really enjoying my new hobby. I just need some help finding resources for parts and information.
Thank you!!

ARVIN are made by the Noblitt-Sparks Industries,Inc.
The Arvin line was produced by Noblitt-Sparks Industries which was founded in 1927 for the manufacture of automobile parts. The company began making automobile radios in 1933 and by 1934 was producing radios for the home. They also made radios for Sears which were sold under the Silvertone brand name.(This is from "The collector's guide to Antique Radios" Third edition.

Hi Dean

The book Wayne mentions is useful in identifing radios, finding when they were made and approximate value. You can buy this book and parts from Antique Electronic Supply, tubesandmore.com , and others.
