:Hello All,
: I'm trying to identify an Emerson Portable luggage style radio. The back is missing, which is probably where the model number was. It's made out of wood with brown leatherette over it. It's dark brown on the sides and bottom and lighter tannish on the front. It has a leather handle, 4 round metal feet and two knobs. Airplane dial. 6 Tubes. It receives BC only. The dial scale indicates Frequency and wavelenght. It has plastic loovers over the speaker that are identical to ones like on an AX-235 only these are black. So it's probably from the late 30s. It can also work on AC. It takes 2 large 45 volt #482 B batteries. It takes 2 other large batteries as well. I have restored it and it sounds fantastic. It can play pretty lound and it's very clear. So all I need to know is the model number. The part number for the antenna is: 206-2 and the the part number for the dial scale is: 7JD-93.Looks like the one on the CT-275. The radio does resemble a catalin set of the same time (The Big Miracle BM-258). If anyone needs more details, I will supply them.

:Hello Again All,
: My guess is that it's a DF chassis. I have a picture of the back of the DJ set, the battery compartment is much larger in that set. So my guess is DF chassis (DF302, DF306). But without a picture of the radio, I cannot be sure.
