Zenith 1941 10S567 - Help

I own a vintage 1941 Zenith 10 tube radio.
It is in working order however lately it is very hard to tune in stations. I am getting is a lot of static but occaisionally get some slight reception of a station.

The tubes it contains are as follows:
1232, 6A8G, 6K7G, 6J5G, 6F5G, 6J5G, 6V6G, 6V6G, 6X5G AND 6X5G
I don't know much about these radios and was wondering if one of the tubes may be bad thus resulting in the difficulty in tuning stations.
Any suggestions????

Probably not tubes but needs to be recapped. Think this radio chassis has the dreaded rubber insulated wiring that crumbles and flakes off if disturbed. Good luck.
