Steven,

There is a schematic for your radio at http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/schematics/RCA.htm

The schematic is in djvu format so you will need the djvu dropin or standalone djvu program to view and print. If you have neither they can be had at http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/schematics/

Pity.... that the unit had befallen the Butcher of Baghdad. Probably was also the dual section 80ufd/50 ufd/150VDC C24 electrolytic filter capacitor near the 35W4 rect and 35C5 af out tubes.
Should you need more in detail parts info than the referenced schematic is also shows to be covered in Howard Sams Photofact 265 file 9 if near a major library.(Memphis?)

Now with it having said of being a black smithy, you do have our word that radio doesn't get near
any heavy peening or drawing hammers nor anvils...or in these days.....heavy heated soldering irons or torches.....right?

That radio has it all in the respect of additionally having a front RF stage. Plus, its not inordinately too old, from the parts acquisiton aspect.

Try Sams Technical Publishing on the internet.
http://www.samswebsite.com/photofact/pf_search.asp
Type in the model number without dashes (4X661) in the box that says "PHOTOFACT® Repair Schematic Search"
Not cheap - but paper and online info is available. read though details on their site.

hope this helps.
