The controls on front are labeled Detector, Amplifier, Tuner, Fil. Battery, 1st stage jack, 2nd stage jack, and Tickler. The knobs are metal levers with insulated tips. The detector dials from 0 to 10. The tuner goes from 0 to 100. Amplifier goes from 0 to 10. The Tckler goes from 0 to 100. Filament battery is on/off. One of the tubes is a Sylvania 199 V. Another is RCA UV 199. The third is missing.
The radio appears to have 2 transformers, 4 capacitors, a tuner, a tickler coil which is a coil mounted perpendicular inside a stationary coil, 2 variable resistors (amp and detector) and there is also a quick change out device that looks like a carbon resistor which if you had many, you could plug them in one at a time to see the effects. It also has 11 thumb screws labeled ant, ant, ground,c minus, (a minus,c plus on same screw), a plus, b minus, b+22.5 volt, b+ 90 volt, loudspkr, loudspkr.
If I send pictures of this thing, could someone help me draw a schematic? Thanks so much.
Jim
You might try searching for Browing Drake? Their early schematics aren't shown in Rider but some are on the internet. Browning Drake sold kits with one regenerative stage and 2 or 3 audio stages. This should be similar to your radio?
Here is one site:
http://www.clarion.org.au/browning-drake/
It happens to be from Austrralia.
